The event comprised one committee and involved creating a comprehensive Memorandum to promote blue economy in the region. The content discussed included:

• Sustainable development of the Mekong River

• Connectivity between inland and maritime states

• Technology transfer and intellectual property rights

• Education and awareness in the blue economy

• Blue finance instruments

Speakers' Sharing

Ms Yu Xinwei (Deputy Division Director of the Ministry of Natural Resources International Cooperation Department), Dr Zhu Xuan (Associate Professor in the Ministry of Natural Resources China-Institute for Marine Affairs), and Ms Pan Yue (Associate Researcher of the School of International Relations, Center of Indonesia Studies from Jinan University) graced the sharing session.

Cultural Activites

The session commenced with a sharing on some interesting facts about ASEAN and China's blue economy and had quizzes testing delegates on their knowledge of ASEAN languages, words, and songs. The session concluded with delegates gathering in breakout rooms to discuss their home countries and share perspectives on the significance of the ocean and sustainability.
