6th CAYS

Model-ASEAN Conference

The 6th CAYS comprised six committees, where each committee produced a Joint Declaration as the conference outcome. The topics were:

• Preventive Diplomacy in an Era of Competitive Military Capability Acquisition

• Financial Digitalisation: Practices Sharing and Framework Building

• Smart Cities Network for a Climate-Friendly Future

• Enhancement of rights for Women and Children

• Strengthening the Resilience of Informal Economies in a Post-Pandemic Era

• Combating China-ASEAN Arms Trafficking

Embassy/ Organisation Visit

Delegates had the chance to visit the Embassy of the Republic of the Philippines in the PRC, ASEAN-China Centre, China International Communications Group (CICG) and Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB). This unique opportunity allowed delegates to gain insights into the diplomatic endeavours and foster a deeper understanding of the regional dynamics.

Roundtable Forum

The theme for the forum is “China-ASEAN Higher Education Cooperation: Past Efforts and Future Prospects”. In the spirit of empowering our youth, the conference selected some distinguished delegates to participate in the roundtable forum and directly engage our guest speakers.

Cultural Night

During the Cultural Night, delegates and the organising committee came together to celebrate the rich traditional cultures of Southeast Asia through food and performances.
